  • Footprint:

  • The digital footprint of JKBOTE minimised the erstwhile physical visits of the clientele to JKBOTE premises for their routine queries. All processes in JKBOTE related to examinations, admissions and result-making have been automated with the right channels for feedback and the provision for helpdesk have been put in place.
  • Hereafter:

  • The IT needs of JKBOTE are ever growing with the opening of new polytechnic colleges at the district levels, the implementation of NEP2020 and the introduction of new branches, not to speak of the launch of new schemes in addition to SCVT at the ITI levels. In the offing, the IT Team envisages its role evolving as:
    1. More resource bandwidth both at the computing and personnel level.
    2. Computer Based Tests to replace the existing pen-paper mode.
    3. Proctored examination and evaluation centers where the need of the IT implementation would be seen on rise.
    4. Role of AR and VR creeping into the examination systems.
    5. Promotion for Digital certificates and paperless environment in JKBOTE
  • Legacy:

  • Digitization of JKBOTE started in the year 2015 under the dynamic leadership of the then Secretary, Shri Mahmood Ahmed. In order to speed up the procedures and meet the growing demands of the times, Shri Mahmood Ahmed rose to the occasion and introduced the idea of digitizing the examination processes. Shri Shakeel Ahmad Dar, Lecturer, Computer Engineering, Skill Development Department deputed to JKBOTE as the then Deputy Registrar(Kashmir), proved to be the 'right man at the right moment' who almost single handedly realised the vision of his leader by implementing the digital solutions in the JKBOTE. The legacy left for the successors to work and build on!
